1 accuracy does not equal 1% accuracy. Therefore 100 accuracy cannot represent 100% accuracy. If you don't have 100% accuracy then it is possible to miss. The accuracy stat represents the degree of the cone of fire.

Delete post THIS IS A SPINNER or cancel THIS IS A SPINNER metadata Cause we all know the 100 accuracy is not really perfect accuracy even crouched, not moving and not being shot at the M40 misses a stationary head at 400 meters sometimes for me. So if a guns at 97 accuracy and I add a W-task mod that ups accuracy by +7 am I only getting half the accuracy benefit then? cause if so that sucks. Couple this with the silencer and optics accuracy upgrades in gunsmith and there is even more wasted SP if this is the case. If anyone’s wondering I’m talking about the RFB with all of the main gun accuracy upgrades completed it’s sitting at 97 accuracy without the W-task or gunsmith mod accuracy upgrades. metadata My RFB has 98 accuracy without w-task. metadata It goes over 100 accuracy. metadata > *Originally posted by **[FIREDRAKE4123](/forums/254/topics/355519?page=1#posts-7367606):*** > > It goes over 100 accuracy. Not without the w-task or crouching + shift. metadata Derp. I meant to answer his title question. It Can go over 100 accuracy. metadata So you’re saying when I get W-task for RFB it will show 105 accuracy or will it just have 105 accuracy but only show the number 100 max? Cause if guns can go over 100 accuracy this changes alot of my decisions even regarding what SMG I’m gonna buy. Cause I like everything I use to be as accurate as possible metadata 100 acc doesn’t = 100% acc, so yes metadata I’m pretty sure 100 accuracy is the max. Though 100 accuracy is not a guaranteed hit, it is the highest achievable accuracy without the professional skill or without walking(shift)/crouching. The slightest bit of recoil or movement can affect it. Also what terrain type you are standing on. Since the crosshair is bigger standing on some rocks. > *Originally posted by **[Nqss](/forums/254/topics/325876?page=1#posts-6847678):*** > > recoil cant go beyond 1 > accuracy cant be higher then 100 Assuming the accuracy stat represents the “accuracy parameter”. Though from kirill it sounded like sitting/walking still raises your accuracy as explained here. [http://www.kongregate.com/forums/254-contract-wars/topics/318266-accuracy-and-recoil-explanation](http://www.kongregate.com/forums/254-contract-wars/topics/318266-accuracy-and-recoil-explanation) metadata Well for SVU, when it’s damaged, say 25, the accuracy should be down to like high 90s but for mine, it still says 100. So I think 100+ accuracy helps maintain the 100 accuracy even though it’s damaged, until it gets damaged even further. metadata > *Originally posted by **[FIREDRAKE4123](/forums/254/topics/355519?page=1#posts-7367888):*** > > Well for SVU, when it’s damaged, say 25, the accuracy should be down to like high 90s but for mine, it still says 100. So I think 100+ accuracy helps maintain the 100 accuracy even though it’s damaged, until it gets damaged even further. Yeah forgot to mention. Having higher than 100 accuracy put into a gun will help you stay at 100 accuracy longer when losing durability. (Though it does not affect durability points, so it won’t take longer to break) metadata OK thanks for the info guys, itd be cool if there was a consistant way to test whether theres an actual difference in accuracy having 100, or say 100+ some amount of surplus metadata I wish the hardcap of accuracy were 150. metadata it does go above 100, but your accuracy is msximum. If you have weapon degradation, your weapon will have 100 acc for longer time, thats it metadata > *Originally posted by **[MP201](/forums/254/topics/355519?page=1#posts-7367873):*** > > 100 acc doesn’t = 100% acc, so yes Ehm… this is wierd. If 100 accuracy doesnt mean 100% accuracy, then WHAT does that number represent? I mean, what’s the relationship between the accuracy stat and accuracy percentage? Edit: And it would help a lot if the skills like “increase accuracy while crouching by +x%” would specify on what that percentage is applied… cause it’s not applied on base weapon accuracy, that’s a fact. And one more question – the listed accuracy of a weapon means you have to be stationary, standing and fire the weapon, and crouching and/or aim-to-sights adds to that value, or that is that stat the maximum value with all those bonuses? metadata > *Originally posted by **[Nqss](/forums/254/topics/355519?page=1#posts-7368233):*** > > it does go above 100, but your accuracy is msximum. > If you have weapon degradation, your weapon will have 100 acc for longer time, thats it This^^^^^^^^ metadata Yeah, you pretty much have to be stationary to get even good accuracy. Crouching to get the best accuracy. It’s bull. metadata Your accuracy can go over 100, but this will not improve the accuracy of the gun. Luckily, 100 is pretty damn near perfectly accurate. If 100 accuracy is enough to get a longshot from one side of Lighthouse to another then it’s accurate enough for me. metadata Wow… you gotta love all the answers like “100 accuracy doesn’t mean 100% accuracy”. Simple question deserves a simple answer. And the answer to the question “What does 100 accuracy mean?” IS NOT what 100 accuracy DOES NOT MEAN. So, i’ll ask again, in a more “structured” fashion.. hoping that i’ll get the same kind of answer. 1. **Conditions:** Shooter is stationary, target is stationary, both for more then 1-2 seconds. Weapon is SV-98 with 100 accuracy. Scope cross-hair has the target head in the exact center. Shooter fires 1 shot. **Question:** Will the shooter ever miss? – From my experience, i have NEVER missed a shot like this. 2. What is the point of holding SHIFT key if you are not moving? 3. What is the base increase of accuracy value if you crouch (not considering any skills)? 4. What is the base increase of accuracy value if you aim-trough-sights (not considering any skills)? metadata You are bit slow, age kicking in maybe? I dont get it what of “100 accuracy doesn’t mean 100% accuracy” you dont understant?? It means that 100 is not 100% accurate… 1. holding SHIFT is like concentrate hard for shooting. 2. idk 3.idk but i noticed this: aim trough sight > shift > crouch Recoil is also affected same way. metadata > *Originally posted by **[pipsss](/forums/254/topics/355519?page=1#posts-7375580):*** > > You are bit slow, age kicking in maybe? > I dont get it what of “100 accuracy doesn’t mean 100% accuracy” you dont understant?? > It means that 100 is not 100% accurate… > > 1. holding SHIFT is like concentrate hard for shooting. > 2. idk > 3.idk > > but i noticed this: aim trough sight > shift > crouch > Recoil is also affected same way. I might be a bit slow…then again, i might not be. If someone asks you “What is an apple?” and you answer “An apple is not a tomato”, then your statement is perfectly true… but absolutely pointless and unrelated to the question. So i don’t know who’s being “slow” here. The only “answer” you gave… (to question 2 that you numbered 1) is also… pointless, because it says absolutely nothing. And you are lacking a bit of “structure” … you missed 1 number :) metadata 100 is not 100% accurate!!!!! “Question: Will the shooter ever miss?” First + second = YES metadata 1) 100 accuracy stat does not represent the percentage. 1 accuracy does not equal 1% accuracy. Therefore 100 accuracy cannot represent 100% accuracy. If you don’t have 100% accuracy then it is possible to miss. The accuracy stat represents the degree of the cone of fire. Not sure how but the higher it is, the smaller the cone is. metadata > *Originally posted by **[skullhead51](/forums/254/topics/355519?page=1#posts-7376770):*** > > The accuracy stat represents the degree of the cone of fire. Not sure how but the higher it is, the smaller the cone is. Finally, someone aswered what accuracy actually represents. Thank you, kind sir :) As i already suspected this, i was looking for a more exact answer…. number-wise. But i think only the ones that coded that would be able to help me here… and there’s a slim chance of that. The reason why I’m asking is so i know if i have to choose a weapon that has 100 accuracy vs a weapon with 97, for example. It would help to know exactly how big is the cone increase for that 3 points in accuracy. Oh well… i guess experimenting should be the only way to find this kind of answers. Only problem is… you cant really experiment with GP weapons or skills. metadata On my IAR i have 98 accuracy and i can hit easily over Old SW. Around 150m and 97 acc con should stil be inside the body , if you aim in center.
