Casino Self-exclusion is a process that allows a person to request to be excluded from legalized gaming activities within a casino and offsite venues. Individuals who enroll in self-exclusion are prohibited from collecting any winnings, recovering any losses or accepting complimentary gifts or services or any other thing of value from any licensed facility.

How do I get placed on the Casino Self-Exclusion list?

A person may have his or her name placed on the Self-Exclusion list by submitting a completed request for Self-Exclusion to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. The instructions can be found on the PGCB website. For more information, call the Office of Compulsive and Problem Gambling at 717-346-8300 or by email at problemgambling@pa.gov

Can I place a family member with a gambling problem on the list?

No. A person cannot place another person on the Self-Exclusion list. Placement on the list is entirely voluntary and must be done by the individual seeking exclusion.

What will happen after I sign up for Casino Self-Exclusion?

Licensed facilities must refuse wagers from and deny gaming privileges to any Casino Self-Excluded person; deny check cashing privileges, player club memberships, complimentary goods and services, junket participation and other similar privileges and benefits to any Casino Self-Excluded person.

Does Self-Exclusion from Casinos apply to other forms of gambling?

No. The PGCB’s Casino Self-Exclusion list does not ban player participation in all PA gambling venues. However, gaming providers may have stricter Self-Exclusion policies, including banning Self-Excluded persons from all forms of gambling at their venues (casino gaming, horse racing, iGaming in other jurisdictions.)
