A field goal is scored when all of the following conditions are met: The kick must be a placekick or dropkick made by the offense from on or behind the line of scrimmage or from the spot of a fair catch (fair-catch kick). If a fair catch is made or awarded outside the inbound line, the spot of the kick is the nearest inbound line. After the ball is kicked, it must not touch the ground or any player of the offensive team before it passes through the goal. The entire ball must pass through the vertical plane of the goal, which is the area above the crossbar and between the uprights or, if above the uprights, between their outside edges. If the ball passes through the goal, and returns through the goal without striking the ground or some object or person beyond the goal, the attempt is unsuccessful. Note: See 9-1-3 for restriction applicable to Team B formation at the snap.

What does over 4.5 strikeouts mean?

Of course, this means you can bet on over the set total of strikeouts or the under. A strikeout bet is simply the number of strikeouts a pitcher throws in a game. For example, if the line was Justin Verlander over 4.5 strikeouts, you would need him to throw 5 strikeouts for the bet to cash.

While we wait for the MLB season to start up again, here’s a breakdown of strikeout betting!

What is a Strikeout Bet?

Strikeout bets are similar to total bets, where there is a set over/under that the pitcher you bet on needs to hit. Alternatively, anything under 4 strikeouts would cash if you bet the under. These bets are often on half points, which means your bet cannot push. That just means your bet will either win or lose and your stake can’t be refunded on an exact amount. If you feel great about a pitcher in a specific game, consider taking a swing at the over total strikeouts bet!
