Twp - This ones’s an affectionate way to describe someone who's acting silly. Example: “Stop acting so twp.” Tamping - This is for anyone who gets a bit…displeased, shall we say? It basically means angry. Example: “I was tamping the other night!” Cwtsh - A fave across the whole of Wales, this one means a special kind of hug. Example: “Give us a cwtch.” Tidy - If you’re thinking “finally one I recognise”, think again. It's not about cleanliness. Around these parts, it's actually used to describe something or someone that's good. Example: “You cleaned the flat? Tidy.” Cheers drive - Many of you will be regular bus goers, so here’s a great way to say thanks to the driver. Example: “Cheers drive.” It’s as easy as that! Ych a Fi - Another great one to get your mouth around. It’s the perfect phrase for when you’re disgusted by something. Example: “Ych a fi. They didn’t wash their hands!” Hanging - This one's worth noting down for all you hangover experts, who haven’t learned to switch to water at the end of a night. Example: “We got in at 2am. I feel hanging this morning.” Butt - No, this doesn’t have anything to do with your derrière. It is in fact interchangable with mate. After Freshers is over, you’ll have tonnes of butts. Example: “Alright butt, how’s it going?” Lush - A regularly used word around Swansea, if you think something is great - it’s lush. Simple. Example: “Look at him, he’s so lush!” Mun - A word that doesn’t actually mean anything, it’s simply used to add emphasis to whatever it is that you’re saying. Example: “Alright mun, I said I was sorry.” Now in a minute - It doesn’t make sense. You know it, we know it. It must be programmed into us from an early age to use, but it can be picked up quicker than you think. Think of it as the pinnacle of being Welsh. You’ll be using it in no time! Example: “I’ll do it now in a minute.”

What is cooler in poker?

A cooler is a hand that is clearly too strong to fold but ends up being second best after the chips go in. The most common example of cooler is picking up pocket Kings preflop and our opponent has the Aces.

Explanation of Cooler

The most commonly cited cooler is the AA versus KK matchup preflop in Hold’em. Since most strategy resources advise never folding KK preflop at stack depths of 100bb effective or less, we just have to chalk it up to bad luck if villain shows up with the AA. Although coolers are extremely unlucky, in the long run we should cooler our opponents as many times as they cooler us. Cooler situations should hence not have a huge impact on a player’s overall winrate. Example of Cooler used in a sentence -> There is no way we could have folded our top full house, it’s just a cooler when villain shows up with the quads.
