How to place a bet?

Firstly, select the ‘Football’ category from the menu on the left-hand side of the page.

Then select ‘Competition’ along the tab bar and select “FIFA World Cup”.

When you see the bet you would like to place, click on the odds/price button and your betslip will pop up on the right-hand side of the screen (bottom of your screen on mobile). Enter the total amount you would like to place on this selection and click on ‘Place bets’. If you tick the 'Each Way’ box, you are placing a bet on the selection to place within the outlined places. Example: Placing a bet on Harry Kane in the “FIFA Golden Boot” market. If you click e/w you are placing a bet on him to come in the top 4 goalscorers as per the agreed rules.

What is the 90-minute Rule?

Football markets are settled based on the score at the end of full-time (90 minutes + injury time) unless otherwise stated for that particular market. Extra time or penalty shootouts do not count. Example: You have placed a bet prior to kick off or during normal time on England to win. The game ends 0-0 and goes to Extra Time. England win 1-0 after extra time. Your bet would be a loser as it is settled off the result at full-time in normal time. We also have a ‘to qualify’ market which includes extra time and penalties to give you extra insurance for knockout games like the above example.

My Extra Time Correct Score bet is saying it’s a loss, even though I guessed the correct score?

Extra Time Correct Score markets start a 0-0. Only goals scored during Extra Time count. Example: A game is 1-1 after full time and goes to Extra time. 1 goal is scored in Extra Time and the end score is 2-1. The Extra Time Correct Score market will be settled as 1-0 and NOT 2-1.

What is a Bet Builder?

A Bet Builder is a combination of two or more selections from the same game or across multiple games all in the one bet. Click on the game you would like to place a bet on and click on ‘Bet Builder’ along the tab to start creating your Bet Builder.

I placed a bet on a game that was postponed/abandoned. What happens my bet?

For major tournaments (such as the World Cup), if a game is delayed beyond midnight local time, all bets will stand and be settled once the game is played, as long as the game is played to a finish within 72 hours.

I have placed a bet on the ‘FIFA Golden Ball (Player of the Tournament)’ market. When will this be announced/settled?

FIFA will officially announce the Player of the Tournament on the night of the FIFA World Cup final which is scheduled for the 18th of December 2022. All bets placed on this market will be settled after the announcement.

What if there are two or more players with the same number of goals for the Golden Boot?

If more than one player is tied at this stage, ties are broken by other criteria and will be settled inline as per official FIFA Rules on the award.

What does this mean?

If you have placed a bet on Harry Kane to win the Golden Boot and Cristiano Ronaldo scores the same number of goals, there is a tie for first place. The player with more assists will be deemed the winner. If two or more players are still equal after taking assist into account, the minutes played by the player in the tournament will be taken into account, with the player playing fewer minutes ranked first.

The same criteria applies for each-way bets.

I placed a bet on the ‘Player to Attempt 50 or more Passes” market?

Official Opta data will be used for settlement purposes. A pass is defined as any intentional played ball from one player to another. Passes include open play passes, goal kicks, corners and free kicks played as pass – but exclude crosses, keeper throws and throw-ins.

What is a Scorecast bet and how do I place it?

I placed a bet on a Power Price market and one of the players is not playing. What happens my bet?

We offer enhanced prices on certain markets highlighted as ‘Power Prices’

Example: You place a bet on the following Power Price - ‘Harry Kane and Gareth Bale both to have 2 or more shots on target’. Gareth Bale is not in the squad due to a late injury. Your bet will still stand but it will change to a single on Harry Kane to have 2 or more shots on target. The odds will update to reflect the remaining selection. For Power Prices that include multiple players, in the event that one or more player(s) listed does not take part, we reserve the right to settle the bet based on the odds of the remaining players.

I placed a bet on a #WhatOddsPaddy market and one of the players is not playing. What happens my bet?

If one of the players that forms the #WhatOddsPaddy bet does not play in the game, then the entire bet will be voided regardless if any/all of the remaining components win or lose. All WOP bets are settled on the basis of 90 minutes’ play (plus injury time) unless otherwise stated.
