Read More »You don't get to be the reigning UFC Heavyweight champion without knowing how to take a punch—but not many mixed martial artists make it look quite as easy as Francis Ngannou. The French Cameroonian fighter has just released a supercut video on his YouTube channel documenting what looks like pretty much everyone he has ever met doing their best to hit him in the chest with everything they've got, while he appears utterly unfazed and unbothered. In one shot he is taking a sip from a cup of coffee while taking body punches from YouTuber-turned-boxer Rashed Belhasa, in another he stands with his hands nonchalantly in his pockets while an NFT buyer pummels away at him, looking no more bothered than if a fly were buzzing around his head. The video also sees Ngannou getting hit by undefeated lightweight boxer Ryan Garcia, MMA coach Eric Nicksick, featherweight Dan Ige, and French singer Dadju, all of whom fail to even make him blink. It's only after he takes two strikes to the solar plexus from fighter Apuni Pagoa that the champ even winces. "I am always interested and looking for ways to test my physical stability and have offered fellow athletes and fans the chance to throw some punches and deliver some free body shots," Ngannou explains. "With the likes of lightweight boxer Ryan Garcia throwing some heavy hitters, it truly allows me to push my abilities to the max." Ngannou himself holds the current record for the hardest punch in the world, having clocked a striking power of 129,161 units on a PowerKube, which measures the power of a punch based on a variety of different factors, including force, speed and accuracy. Ngannou set that record in 2017 and nobody has usurped him yet, although former World's Strongest Man winner Eddie Hall, who has pivoted to boxing, tried (and failed) last year.
