Second in the list of high scoring games comes significantly more recently. At the end of November 2004, the Cincinnati Bengals played out a tight affair with the Cleveland Browns, winning it 58-48 (106 total). The excitement went right to the end with the Browns leading by four inside the final 10 minutes. Just a single point behind, on 105 total, comes the 2018 clash between the Los Angeles Rams and the Kansas City Chiefs. As you may remember, that season saw Patrick Mahomes named MVP but on 19 November he was unable to match the brilliance of the Rams’ Jared Goff who threw four touchdowns and for a total of 413 yards. What a game that was, going to the wire, and the Chiefs losing out 54-51. Interestingly the Kansas team were on the wrong end of another big one (51-48) to the Seattle Seahawks in November 1983.
