Marvel Snap

Each game of Marvel Snap is built on seemingly simple foundations. Each player has a deck of only 12 cards and must win two of three locations over six rounds by amassing power across three locations on the board. What makes it so beguiling, however, is the wide array of strategies players can adopt, from moving cards between locations and cheating big minions out through to destroying their own cards, as well as the fact that the randomized locations force both players to adapt on the fly. Cards are played simultaneously each round too, giving the gameplay a real rock/paper/scissors feel where anticipating the opponent is vital. And on top of this is the ability to "snap" to double the stakes, adding yet another layer of strategy to an already deep competitive experience.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is one of those games that keeps you smiling with its charm, humor, and gameplay. Some may have not taken a liking to the Rabbids in the past, but Sparks of Hope takes long strides in changing that narrative by telling a funny, if low-stakes story that is filled with these endearing rabbit creatures interacting with our Mushroom Kingdom favorites. The game takes what so many loved about Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and added even more flexibility to its turn-based tactical battles to keep gameplay fresh, engaging, and just plain fun. It’s a wonderful thing when a sequel can take everything great about the original, fix the gripes, and provide a new way for us to enjoy our favorite stories. Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope does this better than most, and we can’t wait to see what zany adventures this crew goes on next.
