Read More »'Introverts are more likely to be self-conscious and self aware around other people,' says Melinda, who believes when it comes to exercise it's best to play to your strength rather than try to change perceived weaknesses. Try: 'Sports and activities that require self-motivation but don't necessarily involve competing with others are perfect,' Melinda says. 'They are likely to do well at something like running or gym work because they are less likely to need external validation.' Melinda also recommends more solitary sports where you have to pit yourself against the elements or nature - like rock climbing, surfing or even horse riding. 'These need plenty of self-motivation and although there is also often done alongside others they are not intrinsically sociable,' she says.
