When Stevan Jovetic put Hertha Berlin ahead against Cologne at the weekend, he did something that only one player before him had ever managed: scoring a goal in each of Europe's top five leagues. Florin Raducioiu was the first player to score at least one league goal in Germany, England, Spain, Italy and France, netting in the Bundesliga during a spell with VfB Stuttgart. Now he has been joined by Jovetic, who added to his eight goals in the Premier League, six in LaLiga, 41 in Serie A and 18 in Ligue 1. The goal proved in vain as Florian Kainz inspired Cologne to a comeback victory, but Jovetic's debut will nonetheless be remembered for his new record.

Watch: Stevan Jovetic "proud" of record

The 31-year-old joined Hertha from Monaco in the summer and marked his debut with two goals in a 4-3 friendly win against Jürgen Klopp's Liverpool. His first competitive goal gave the Old Lady the lead in Cologne, but Anthony Modeste equalised before half-time, and two second-half goals from Kainz earned the Billy Goats all three points. "There were some positives and we've got 33 Bundesliga games to come and we've got to work for each other and now get three points in front of our own fans against Wolfsburg," said fellow new recruit Kevin-Prince Boateng, himself a scorer in five different first divisions across Europe, but 'only' four of the top five according to UEFA coefficient.
